That’s a wrap!!! We wrapped up The Old Capitol Tea Room last evening with our final tea of the 2021 season. It means so much to us for all of your support and enthusiasm for our little venture of tea & theatre, “teatre” if you will. 😉

We are so grateful to all of the kind words and encouragement during another challenging year. To hear your excitement and see the smiles, makes all of the behind the scenes effort worth it.

The tea room is now closed for the season and we’ll be back in February with more fun events for the 2022 season. Until then we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 🎄

For more information about the tea room, please see our FAQ section under TEA as well as more information on our Facebook page, The Old Capitol Tea Room.

It’s been another crazy busy week!

It started over the weekend with a full slate of Holiday tea parties at The Old Capitol Tea Room! We had our Dickens “Christmas Carol Radio Show” performed with friends as the entertainment for the tea, a private party on Saturday afternoon, and then we had

a Jane Austen Candlelight Christmas tea on Sunday evening.

One of my favorite places to visit, especially during the holidays is to drive through beautiful horse country, Versailles, KY to Irish Acres and have lunch at to The Glitz Restaurant. This was an extra special holiday treat with my Mama and friends who were able to join us. Then we had Christmas dinner for Jeff’s office on Tuesday night at Swizzle in downtown Louisville with the incredible skyline views. And then we spent Wednesday day morning and afternoon visiting schools for Grinch & Martha May storytime!

We’re halfway thru this holiday-loaded week of fun!

What a great way to spend a beautiful Saturday in November: a Ramblin’ Rambler Roadtrip up to Ferdinand for their Christkindlmarkt.

We enjoyed such great weather that we couldn’t resist doing a little photo shoot in between visiting the various markets around town. We also got a chance to see a great little marionette show, and came home with a few treasures. We stopped by The Overlook in Leavenworth for dinner before heading home.

We were surprised at the number of people in Ferdinand who came up to us to tell us they enjoyed following us on Facebook. 🥰❤️

Ferdinand is a special place, for sure.
