Trips

The Not So Long Trailer II has been on some pretty wonderful trips. Renovated in May of 2019 we have been east, west, north, and south covering almost every state with the exception of Hawaii and Alaska. We'll have to get creative with those two or at least with Hawaii! Jeff is a trip planning genius and also quite the photographer so we hope you enjoy these travel itineraries, tips, and photos!

And when we're not in the trailer, we love going on drives in our 1959 Rambler exploring all kinds of local treasures a little closer to home. We call those our Ramblin' Rambler Adventures! We love historic sites, nature, discovering favorite local restaurants and diners, and of course any excuse to shop vintage and antiques.

May 2019

Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, & Arkansas

May 2019 was the maiden voyage for our Not So Long Trailer II to Memphis, Natchez, and Saint Francisville. We absolutely fell in love with the mansions in Natchez and the incredibly stunning plantations in Louisiana. We also discovered some of our favorite campgrounds that were both right along the mighty Mississippi.

October 2019

Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, & Maine

We first fell in love with the East Coast when we made the trip to Maine in 2018 and couldn't wait to go back again. We visit the East Coast by way of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York and Maine. Final destination Bar Harbor, Maine. You simply cannot beat a New England Fall. We love all of the historic sites as we make our way up the East Coast some favorite stops being Gettysburg, the Newport Mansions, the adorable port towns of Manchester by the Sea, Gloucester and Rockport, and trying all the local favorite seafood spots.

October 2020

Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri

We travel out west a lot! We love the change of scenery from what we have here in the Midwest. Having made several trips to various states out West together, October 202 was our most recent adventure going out West. In a year that challenged many, we found relief in the great outdoors and the vast amount of space that is out West. Exploring nature even more so than usual gave us a true sense of peace, calmness, and just pure joy revisiting places we had explored over the years and discovering some new favorite parks, campgrounds, and towns along the way.
