On this night…

On this night, January 17, 1955, the I Love Lucy episode “First Stop” originally airs in season 4. It is not one that gets talked about a lot, but it was always a favorite of mine. The train segment was so well conceived and then perfectly executed by the set crew.

If you’re not familiar with this one, it is so funny! It also featured Aunt Sally’s Pecan Pralines. 😂 And although the gang never gets to taste them, and the audience never sees them, it is a recipe that is featured in the I Love Lucy Cookbook. I made a batch last year and they were delicious! I think it’s time for another batch!

Also, Fred has one of the best lines in this one about good old Aunt Sally. 😂😁
