Whooohooo these were some big ol barrels compared to the previous rain barrels I’ve painted but I finally got them all ready to go for the Arts Alliance of Southern Indiana’s upcoming Monarch Festival!

Head on over to Mount St. Francis Saturday June 4th for the Monarch Festival for fine arts, crafts, live entertainment, music, food trucks, kids zone activities, and an amazing butterfly experience.

THE MONARCH FESTIVAL

The Monarch Festival, annually sponsored by the Arts Alliance of Southern Indiana and MountFest hosted by the Mount Saint Francis Center for Spirituality, will, for the 2nd year, combine into a grand outdoor celebration in 2022! The all-day Monarch Festival at MountFest event will feature an inclusive Regional Arts Festival, live entertainment and musicians, food trucks, chicken dinner dining area, Kids Zone activities, game booths, and a fantastic butterfly experience! This event is free and open to the public. Monarch Festival at MountFest drew more than 7,000 attendees in 2021 and promises to be an even larger event this year!

Come. Create. Celebrate. Mount Saint Francis has been an integral part of Kentuckiana for more than 100 years. Since the 1920s, the friars have held an annual summer picnic attended by thousands each year. In 2015, MountFest was established by the Mount Saint Francis Center for Spirituality to provide a premier event to celebrate the area’s arts, music, and food. The friars of our province have a long history of celebrating and honoring the arts. With the launching of the Franciscan Arts Initiative, we want to ensure that beauty and spirit brought to life through art continue to be honored and celebrated.

The Arts Alliance of Southern Indiana promotes the arts in Clark, Floyd, and Harrison counties through partnerships with individuals, groups, and businesses. They leverage their events, programming, and space as platforms for community arts and culture engagement. The Arts Alliance of Southern Indiana has hosted the Monarch Festival in different locations throughout Southern Indiana each year since 2010.

All proceeds from Monarch Festival at MountFest will support programs and activities at Mount Saint Francis Center for Spirituality and the Arts Alliance of Southern Indiana.

Tin Pan Alley Cats are back at The Limbo TONIGHT!!!

We’ll be playing LIVE tunes 8-10pm and tonight is Chicago themed so get your flapper dresses, fedoras, and all that jazz donned and ready for the best cocktails in town!

Tin Pan Alley Cats cover the classics and standards of the 1920s-1950s as well as new artists that have a classic vintage sound. We also feature different themes for the Limbo each month and are so excited about tonight’s theme!

The musical Chicago has always been one of my most favorite musicals (hello 1920s!!! ❤️❤️❤️) and tonight we get to be some of our favorite characters!

So c‘mon babe, we’re gonna paint the town tonight at The Limbo from 8-10pm!

Check out our upcoming events tab on the home page of www.ourtechnicolorlife.com for more Tin Pan Alley Cats events!

This weekend was practically perfect in every way!

We had such a wonderful time bringing back one of our favorite teas - our Jolly Holiday sing along tea party with Mary & Bert!

It’s hard to believe that it was 2018 when we last did this theme! We enjoy it so much and those that attended seemed to enjoy it as much as we do! Thank you to everyone who joined us and participated! And thank you to our guests for taking some of these amazing photos! ❤️

It was wonderful hearing the tea room filled with a musical sing along again! You can bet it won’t be nearly as long until the next Jolly Holiday tea!

Our next sing along tea is Friday July 29th at 7pm for our Moulin Rouge Tea Party featuring songs from the movie & LIVE music from The Tin Pan Alley Cats! But grab your tickets now, because we just have TWO tables left for that tea event before it’s sold out!
