On the Road Again!
Updated: May 27, 2021
And, we’re back on the road again! West Virginia is now on the map! Now to read up on our next conquest. 😁 Williamsburg, we have you in our sights!
After a pretty crazy spring with tea room events and some music gigs, it’s time for a little spring vacation. We are on our first vacation camping trip of the season and on our way to Delaware to explore. Neither of us has ever really explored Delaware and we are excited together visit with some stops along the way visiting old favorites from previous trips through West Virginia and Virginia.
We stayed in Huntington, WV the first night out and on Friday we explored Staunton, VA...birthplace of President Woodrow Wilson and home of The Statler Brothers. This was a great stopover on our way to Williamsburg.
My parents took me to Williamsburg multiple times as a kid and I’ve always loved visiting. Jeff had been previously for a conference but we had never explored Williamsburg together so this was quite a treat. We also took one of the ghost tours! On Sunday we explored Jamestown and Yorktown. We absolutely loved the ships and wandering about the settlement at Jamestown and were treated to a Revolutionary War artillery demonstration at Yorktown.
Next we are on to Chincoteague Island to see the beautiful wild horses.
