White Mountains of New Hampshire

Day 13 - Wednesday - September 21

EC/NE Camping Adventure 2022

This was a day of exploring the White Mountains and central section of New Hampshire, especially the Lake Squam and Lake Winnipesaukee areas. The weather broke and this day was glorious, so we walked probably ten miles this day, just reconnecting with nature. We were a little early on our visit to catch the turning of the leaves, but still it was a beautiful time to visit.

We drove through some great NH towns like, Lincoln, Conway, Ossipee, Wolfesboro, Meredith and Holderness. We traveled down the beautiful Kancamagus Highway (between Lincoln and Vinwsy), which about now is probably lined, bumper to bumper with “leaf peepers”! 😁

It is hailed as one of the most beautiful drives for autumn colors in the country. One year we are going to make our schedule work for visiting this area in mid October. The photos I’ve seen from this area this time of year our glorious.
