Tea Party Kind of Weekend
Sunday Funday here at The Old Capitol Tea Room! The sunshine was out in full force outside and even more so inside with this beautiful group of ladies! The lovely Violet hosted friends and family in celebration of Liz’s upcoming wedding and it was such a treat getting to meet them both. I knew we were destined to get along when they said they grew up playing tea parties together!

And on Friday night we had a theme I had been very excited to host and I’d be lying if I said we didn’t have a little fun with this theme! 🤣 We were already huge Downton fans and now with the latest show Gilded Age, there’s even more cause for fancy tea parties! We hosted a Gilded Tea Party complete with a fashion show! Prizes were awarded for Most Authentic and Most Creative, both of which were well represented.
We had so much fun getting ready for this theme and we thank you lovely ladies for attending and joining in the festive atmosphere! I like to say, I called in the pretty flurry snowfall just for the spectacular backdrop a la the Christmas episode of Downton. 😉
