About the Event
"The Music That Helped Win the War" covers music from the early 1940s, along with actual radio news and film footage of World War II. The show is a history lesson interweaving musical numbers, chronologically from the beginning of the war in 1940 to the end in 1945. The Ketterman's portray some of the time period's most popular singers such as: Judy Garland, The Andrew Sisters, Bing Crosby, Vera Lynn, Vaughn Monre, and Kittey Kalen, just to name a few.
The music, history radio clips and historic video clips from that part of our past makes for a great trip back in time, remembering the sacrifices made and the victories that are eventually celebrated. "The Music That Helped Win the War" will be performed two times Saturday September 3rd at the Indiana Military Museum located in Vincennes, Indiana for the Labor Day Festival Weekend. Excat show times TBA but will follow immediately after the two re-enactments performed at the Indiana Military Museum in the adjoining airplane hanger.
