PLEASE read all of the following BEFORE purchasing tickets.
"The Music That Helped Win the War" covers music from the early 1940s, along with actual radio news and film footage of World War II. The show is a history lesson interweaving musical numbers, chronologically from the beginning of the war in 1940 to the end in 1945. The Ketterman's portray some of the time period's most popular singers such as: Judy Garland, The Andrew Sisters, Bing Crosby, Vera Lynn, Vaughn Monre, and Kittey Kalen, just to name a few.
The music, history radio clips and historic video clips from that part of our past makes for a great trip back in time, remembering the sacrifices made and the victories that are eventually celebrated. Show runs 55 minutes.
Join us Sunday night at 7pm September 17th for our tribute to World War II show and tea party! You will enjoy a sweets & desserts tea tray, selection of loose leaf teas, and The Music That Helped Win the War Show. We absolutely encourage themed dress and attire for the occasion. Come dressed in 1940s attire or something of your own patriotic creation.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
- A sit down tea party with finger sandwiches, desserts, and loose leaft teas.
- Tea party lasts approximately 1 hour 15 minutes.
- Live music with audio/visual tribute show featuing 1940s songs, WW2 clips, and vintage singing clips
-Check In begins 10 minutes prior to start time. No early entry.
- Photos available after tea party if desired.
- A visit to one of the most historic homes in Downtown Corydon. The tea room is in our living room & dining room of our 107 year old home.

Tickets are purchased in the form of tables. We have 9 tables labeled A-I and they note how many guests are at the table. Tables are set for their max capacity (with the exception of the dining room table) so no additional seats may be added to the tables as they are currently set.

Once payment is submitted ALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL. No exceptions. There are no cancellation policies due to the limited seating and catering of the tea events. Please note that with the ever-changing health climate, you are purchasing your table at your own risk. Once you have selected your table and purchased, we cannot alter your table selection. Please double check before your final purchase. All sales are final. In the event that The Old Capitol Tea Room cancels a tea, we will of course refund your table or offer a gift certificate.
Purchasing a ticket signifies you have read and understand all the guidelines, ticket policies, event dates, time, theme details, menu, and table layout. Please communicate arrival time and parking information with your guests.
Being a historic 107 year old home, please note there is a limited public restroom availble in our home and the restroom is not available until doors open. Nearby rest areas or other attractions are recommended as a stopping point ahead of your visit for maximum comfort.
